Stable growth of the LOTOS chain
OREANDA-NEWS. At the end of 2014 the LOTOS chain comprised 441 service stations, with the company planning to expand the network to some 470 outlets by the end of 2015.
“In 2014 the LOTOS network saw stable growth, mainly in the economy segment, and increased its share in the domestic fuel retail market,” commented Pawel Lisowski, President of the Management Board of LOTOS Paliwa. “We will continue to work towards the objectives set in the Group’s strategy to secure a 10% share in the market by the end of 2015 by expanding our service station network, mainly by adding new CODO (company owned dealer operated) and DOFO (dealer owned franchise operated) stations.
The LOTOS network launched new premium service stations in 2014, also in Motorway Service Areas. Three such stations were opened last year, and two more, on the A4 motorway in Komor?w and the A1 motorway in Krzy?an?w, are expected to start operation in 2015. Last year the company also completed the long-running process of phasing out the DODO fuel distribution system, replacing it with a more efficient franchise-based model of cooperation with dealers.
Overall in 2014 the LOTOS retail chain had 441 service stations, including 169 stations operating under the LOTOS Optima economy brand and 17 service stations in Motorway Service Areas.
