Municipality of Chisinau to Have Temporary Budget
OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2015. In line with the Law on Public Finance and Fiscal Responsibility, which came into effect on January 1, 2015, Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca signed a decree to enact the temporary budget of the municipality for 2015.
The measure was taken as the municipal council failed to approve the 2015 budget at the second reading. According to the press service of Chisinau City Hall, the 2015 budget has been formed and will be executed in line with the provisions of the 2014 budget, but taking into account some peculiarities.
The temporary budget is going to be applied until its ultimate version is approved in the final reading. As Veronica Herta, Head of the Main Financial Department of City Hall of Chisinau says, in the temporary budget the expenditures on finalized projects have been cut and the expenditures on new projects and measures have not been budgeted.
In particular, the temporary budget of the municipality of Chisinau includes the revenue of MDL 2 billion 794 million (MDL 65 million more than in the past year) and the expenditure of MDL 2 billion 856 million (MDL 63 million less than in the past year).
