OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2015. The biggest decline -USD283.34 million or 10.7% - was recorded in November, NBM says. Totally, in 2014 the official reserve assets of NBM reduced more than USD 305.6 million (12.2%), the very amount they grew by in 2013, reaching USD 2 billion 820.6 million as of the end of December, 2013.

Taking this into account, NBM says its monetary reserves have rolled back to 2012. The monetary reserves reached their highest level ever - USD 2 billion 827.2 million- on December 14, 2013.

In 2014 securities included in the reserve assets of the National Bank of Moldova reduced by 29.2% from USD 1 billion 850.9 million to USD 1 billion 311.09 million. The deposits shrank 12.4% to USD 841.5 million from USD 960.4 million.

The deposits placed to banks headquartered outside Moldova reduced by 23,8% from USD 902.2 million to USD 687.4 million. NBM‘s gold reserves contracted from USD 2.86 million to USD 2.83 million.
