World Bank Predicts Growth of Moldova's GDP by 3%
OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2015. The WB experts expect that in the next two years the growth of the Moldovan economy will accelerate, and the growth of GDP in 2016 and 2017 will make 3.5% and 5%, respectively. Such forecasts are contained in the new report "Global economic prospects 2015" published by the World Bank group.
The World Bank experts believe that by the end of 2014 GDP growth in Moldova will make 2%. Final data on the dynamics of the country's GDP last year are not available yet. Moldova's GDP for 9 months of 2014 amounted to USD 81 billion 722 million lei, recording a growth in real terms by 4.7% compared to the same period in 2013.
It should be noted that the IMF predicts that in 2015, the growth in GDP of Moldova will make 3.5% after expected in 2014 slowing economic growth by 2%. As InfoMarket informed before, GDP growth in Moldova in 2013, according to the revised data, amounted to 9.4%.
