OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2015. Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with the Prime Minister Estonia Taavi Roivas.

During a press conference following the meeting, the Prime Minister of Ukraine informed he had discussed with the Prime Minister of Estonia a number of issues, in particular a package of political and financial assistance to Ukraine.

He reminded that the European Commission had announced an assistance package for Ukraine worth € 1.8 billion, "We believe that our European partners in synergy with the International Monetary Fund and the United States of America will prolong rendering assistance that enables us to restore financial stability in Ukraine and confidence of the markets to Ukraine".
According to him, another issue raised was reforms, "which prove necessary for Ukraine and which are now carried out by the Ukrainian Government". Arseniy Yatsenyuk expressed gratitude to the Estonian partners for their support in introducing e-governance and their participation in the support group, now staying in Ukraine.

"We highly appreciate the position of the Estonian Government to support Ukraine. In the framework of the European Union Estonia makes a lot of political and economic things to help Ukraine to get out of this difficult situation," emphasized Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

During the meeting with Prime Minister of Estonia the interlocutors focused on the situation in the East of Ukraine. Arseniy Yatsenyuk expressed concern about the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, "We have tackled recent events, when, in fact, Russia continues sending its troops and terrorists and is escalating the situation".

With regard to a sanction issue, Arseniy Yatsenyuk was quoted as saying, "Only complete abiding by the Minsk Protocol should be a prerequisite for any talks about future sanctions. And until the moment Russia withdraws its terrorists and ensures security at the border, we should do everything to make the Minsk agreement followed".
