OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2015. POSCO hosted the `2014 Thank You Night for Customers` at the Art Hall West in POSCO Center on December 19th to express its gratitude for the care shown by customers amid a difficult business environment. The event also saw it pledge its resolve to grow alongside customers in 2015.

The slogan for the event was ``Great thanks to you! Let`s do it!``. In total, 110 customer companies took part, strengthening the harmony in the customer eco-system.

President Kwon Oh-joon said in his greeting that, ``As true partners, we go through the good and the challenging situations together. I thank you, our customers, for always being with us.

``The essence of solution marketing that we are carrying forward is not to develop technologies for steel materials, but to ultimately enable customers to contribute to the manufacture of products. We want to lead the global market by combining steel materials and utilization technologies with the manufacturing technologies of customer companies. We are making substantial and considered investment in ways to realize systematic and active solutions this year.

`I believe the combined wisdom and experience that exists in Korean industry will be the catalyst for us to overcome the crisis that we face today. POSCO will grow together with you again next year as a stronger solution partner as we seek to help enhance our original competitiveness.``

Guests at the event were impressed by the animation which opened the proceedings as well as by the special thank-you video. Ahn Gwang Sun from the Processing Material Sales Group donated his talent for the event with an in-house magic club that presented portraits of customers following the meal. The broadcaster Jung Ji Young, who presided over the event, read out a thank-you letter to customers that captured the sincere gratitude felt by executives and staff of POSCO.

Following a toast by president Kwon Oh-joon and a valedictory speech by the president of SeAH Steel Lee Soon Hyung, there was a celebratory performance in which the singer Lee Moon Sae sang songs whose passion transcends generations to connect with audiences of all ages.

This year marked the launch of solution marketing designed to deliver customized services, with POSCO also holding a `Visiting Year-End Party` to recognize customers` interest and support. From November, under the supervision of the head of each department or group leader in the six marketing departments within the Steel Business Headquarters, personal visits were organized for customer companies located in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Ulsan and Changwon. In total there were more than 40 visits made, with over 500 thank-you messages delivered to customers to cement the partnership.

POSCO also has a global network of overseas corporations that hosted a `Visiting Thank-You Year-End Party` to recognize the support shown by customers and to strengthen partnerships.
