OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2015. The Bank of East Asia, Limited held its annual Economic and Market Outlook seminar at the Conrad Hotel.

The event featured a panel of experts from academia and the property, stock, and foreign exchange markets who shared their professional insights with more than 650 corporate and personal customers of the Bank.

In his opening address, Mr. Adrian M.K. Li, Executive Director & Deputy Chief Executive of BEA, provided an overview of the current global economy, saying, “While the macro environment is generally improving, growth in the developed markets remains sluggish, with the exception of the US.”

Commenting on the Mainland market, he said that, “China is experiencing a slowdown as structural reforms take effect,” while observing that, “China’s A-share market has been in the grip of a prolonged bull run despite the less-than-encouraging fundamentals.”

BEA invited four guest speakers to share their views on the economy and investment opportunities in 2015.
