Moldova Ranks 2nd in Ranking of Lowest Salaries in Europe
OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2015. This is indicated by the infographics published in the English version of Wikipedia. Ukraine, where the average salary amounted to EUR 178 a month, topped the ranking.
The third line was occupied by Armenia, whose citizens earn EUR 232 a month upon average. The top 5 countries also included Albania with EUR 320 and Bulgaria with EUR 332. Russia ranked the 8th with EUR 370, Romania and Belarus being the 10th and the 13th with EUR 398 and EUR 426 respectively.
The biggest average salaries were paid in Lichtenstein (EUR 4,896), Monaco (EUR 4,435), Switzerland (EUR 4,118), Luxemburg (EUR 3,189) and Norway (EUR 3,170). Wikipedia also offered the readers the map and the list of the European countries included in the ranking and indicated the gross and net salaries paid to their inhabitants.
The figures of the ranking should be considered as relative to some degree since they rank the salaries paid in different months of 2014 and, in some cases, even in 2010-2013.
