OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2015. McKesson Corporation, a healthcare-services and information technology company, today announced the release of its FY2014 Corporate Citizenship Report, an annual publication highlighting the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Consistent with the company’s mission to improve the business of healthcare, McKesson is committed to better health for our employees, customers, communities and the environment.

Designed to minimize paper and energy usage, the company’s online report shares McKesson’s corporate citizenship story through the voices of McKesson employees and stakeholders. The McKesson Corporate Citizenship Report is available via a mobile-compatible website, www.mckessoncorporatecitizenship.com.

FY14 Report highlights:

In FY14, the McKesson Foundation invested approximately USD4 million in cash giving in our communities, and McKesson Corporation contributed an additional USD 3.3 million.

Through its Wheels Fuel program, McKesson’s U.S. Pharmaceutical business unit reduced CO2 emissions from fleet vehicles by 4,821 metric tons – a 23.7% decrease over FY13.

McKesson was recognized as a Best Employer for Healthy Lifestyles with a platinum award from the National Business Group on Health.

McKesson was recognized by the Human Rights Campaign with a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2014 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality.

The McKesson Foundation made major donations to the company’s new Taking Care of Our Own Fund – an employee relief fund that provides grants to employees who are experiencing a financial hardship resulting from a sudden, severe, overwhelming and unexpected event – and to the Red Cross.

McKesson employees helped create 16,400 care packages for cancer patients during workplace volunteer events for the McKesson Foundation’s Giving Comfort program.
