OREANDA-NEWS. The number of vehicles in China in 2014 is 15% of the world fleet. Totally in the country as of November 2014, there are more than 154 million vehicles. We can assume that by the end of the year this figure will reach 160 million cars. China has the largest number of drivers among the major world countries, which is 244 million people. Such data are presented by the local offices to monitor the traffic of the Ministry of Public Security.

According to "Za rulem.RF", among 154 million vehicles the private parc has 104 million units and 25 cars per every 100 households in average. However, it all depends on locality, so that in the second largest city of Beijing there are 63 cars per 100 households.

With regard to the total number of vehicles in the country, not only cars, but also a two- or three-wheeled motorcycles and agricultural machinery, it has grown to 264 million units, while the total number of drivers, who have a permit to control various modes of transport has reached 300 million people.
