Inflation Made 0,7% in Georgia in December 2014
OREANDA-NEWS. Inflation in Georgia made 0,7% in December 2014 as against November 2014.
Over the reporting period, alcohol drinks and tobacco prices increased by 1,2%, while those on foodstuffs and soft drinks - by 1,2%; public utilities services - by 0,4%; healthcare sphere - by 0,9%; education - by 0,4%; services at hotels, cafe and restaurants - by 0,1%. At the same time, transport prices dropped by 1,1%. In the reporting period, prices in the communications sphere remained unchanged.
The inflation rate in Georgia made 2% in December 2014, as against December 2013. Over the reporting period, alcohol drinks and tobacco prices increased by 2,5%; foodstuffs and soft drinks prices - by 2,5%; service at hotels, cafe and restaurants - by 3,9%; in the healthcare sphere - by 6,7%; in transport sphere - by 0,8%; in the education sphere - by 1,9%; public utilities services - by 1%. At the same time, prices in the communications sphere dropped by 0,8%.
