Mobile Payment Option Available in SEB’s Mobile App
OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2015. SEB updated their mobile app. In addition to the usual mobile app services, the new app gives the user an additional opportunity to make fast and convenient payments.
Mobile payment makes it possible to transfer funds to the account of a family member or a friend in an instant. You only need to know the mobile number of the recipient. Mobile payments are transferred immediately, including on the weekends and national holidays, and money can also be transferred between different banks during the holidays. In order to confirm the payment only a simple 4-digit PIN is required, and the user can set his or her own payment limit.
Eerika Vaikmae-Koit, Head of SEB Retail Banking and Technology Area: “In 2014, 99% of transactions in SEB Pank were made electronically; out of which 10% were performed using a mobile phone - a trend that is growing rapidly. While a few years ago we used to proactively direct our clients to use the Internet Bank, the pace of life has grown even faster and many of us feel that we need to have control over our money “here and now”.
The updated mobile app for Android is available for download from the Google Play store; an iOS update is planned for the beginning of 2015.
In order to make a mobile payment, both the sender and the recipient need to have a mobile bank contract. The contract can be concluded inside the mobile app, using one’s Internet bank codes.
