Inter RAO Announces New CEO
OREANDA-NEWS. Timur LIPATOV has been appointed the Chief Executive of LLC Inter RAO - Management of Electric Power Plants effective January 1, 2015. In his new capacity, Timur will take responsibility for implementing the organizational development strategy, delivering investment projects in new power generation, and improving the operating efficiency of power plants. Previous Chief Executive of LLC Inter RAO - Management of Electric Power Plants Gennady BINKO took the role of Advisor to Chief Executive of JSC Inter RAO.
Timur LIPATOV was born in 1980. He graduated, with distinction, from Moscow Power Engineering Institute and MNEPU Academy with degrees in thermal power engineering and management. In 2012, he got an MBA degree from European School of Management and Technology (Berlin, Germany). Between 2002 and 2007, Timur held various technical roles with Russian Thermal Engineering Research Institute, Technopromexport and Enel OGK-5. Between 2007 and 2009, he was the Director of Capital Development with OGK-3. In April 2009, he joined E.ON Russia as Chief Operating Officer for Capital Construction, and in 2011, he was appointed Vice President of New Construction and Strategic Organizational Development. Timur has more than 10 years of experience in the energy industry.
LLC Inter RAO - Management of Electric Power Plants is a management company responsible for operation of all Russian power generation assets of Inter RAO Group with exception of power plants in Omsk Oblast, Tomsk Oblast and Bashkortostan. JSC Inter RAO - Electric Power Plants operates 18 major power stations with combined power generation capacity of approximately 23 GW.
