OREANDA-NEWS. January 12, 2015. The website of the Central Bank has been announced the winner of the eGovernment nomination of the Milli Net contest established by the Azerbaijan Internet Forum – the CBA website became the first on the eGovernment nomination among public authorities in 2014.

Total 322 websites on 14 nominations related to social, economic, cultural, scientific, legal and other areas participated in the contest. Websites were assessed based upon design, content, update frequency, audience, functionality, uploading period, structure, information reliability, promptness, accuracy and comprehensiveness.

To note, the National Internet Award – the Milli Net is a professional award supporting development of the Internet sector – the new segment of creativity, professional performance and exchange of information in Azerbaijan, promotion of the best Internet resources among the broad user audience, recognition of IT and wider usage of Azerbaijani on Internet.

The Central Bank attaches importance to public relations and cooperation to boost its credibility and more successfully realize its mission via higher transparency. To that end, the CBA is focused on the improvement of the website – the key external communication channel – both in terms of the content, and the structure. The Bank will continue efforts to further boost transparency, keep the public informed on the monetary policy, financial stability and reforms in the banking sector, and raising financial literacy of consumers of financial services.
