Moldova Presents New Accounting Standards
OREANDA-NEWS. January 08, 2015. It should be noted that the new national accounting standards are already in use in Moldova since January 1, 2014, but not as mandatory, but in form of the advisory character.
Mandatory access was delayed by the Ministry of Finance from January 1, 2014 to January 1 2015 at the request of the Association of professional accountants and auditors of Moldova, the European business Association, American chamber of Commerce, the Association of foreign investors which convincingly insisted on postponing the transition to the new accounting standards for the year, noting that switch to them from January 1, 2014 is simply unrealistic. New national accounting standards were developed by the Ministry of Finance on the basis of the EU directives, International financial reporting standards and national legislation.
The Ministry of Finance assisted in the transition to the new standards of accounting standards by providing methodological assistance on the problematic aspects of accounting and financial reporting in accordance with the provisions of the new national accounting standards and the general chart of the accounting plan.
