OREANDA-NEWS. January 06, 2015. Estonian elecricity consumption rose 4 percent in November compared with the same month in 2013, to 728 gigwatt-hours.

The increase in consumption, according to Elering estimates, is attributed mostly due to lower temperatures – the Estonian Weather service reports that the average temperature last month was 4.8 degrees, while it was 2.3 degrees in November 2013.

Electricity production fell by 3 percent in the same comparison period, mostly due to a decline in exports.

In November, Estonia's net exports were 222 gigawatt-hours, which is one-fifth less than in the same period last year.
