Globo is highlighted in the latest IDC report
OREANDA-NEWS. Globo plc (LSE-AIM: GBO), the international provider of enterprise mobility management solutions and software as a service, is highlighted in IDC's December 2014 report on Mobile Application Development Platforms (MADP) - "Worldwide Mobile Enterprise Application Development Platform 2014-2018 Forecast and 2013 Vendor Shares" - for its integrated offerings.
Globo's GO!AppZone MADP offering is ranked first in terms of revenue growth (307% for the period 2012-2013) and it is second among seven "pure play" vendors dedicated to mobile development and deployment platforms.
IDC's revenue-based survey of MADP market share 2012-2013 also ranks Globo twelfth of sixteen vendors worldwide. These sixteen vendors, including global ISVs such as SAP, Apple, IBM and Microsoft amount to a combined market share of 67.2%.
IDC expects the mobile enterprise application market to grow from \$1.2 billion in 2013 to reach \$3.7 billion by 2018, a 25% compound annual growth rate. IDC notes that the current application development landscape is fragmented, emphasising the importance of platforms that offer:
· A fully integrated approach of front-end development and back-end services across on-premise and cloud offerings
· Simplification of development and support across multiple end points
Globo's CEO, Costis Papadimitrakopoulos, commented:
"We are pleased to see that our product strategy and investments are fully aligned with the market trends as indicated in this and other reports. Globo's offering combines Mobile Application Development Platform (MADP), Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) and Mobility Business Solution (MBS) expert consulting to meet customer needs as they transform their businesses to become "Mobile Enterprises."
