- The trading volume for the year 2014 grew 26%
- Annual record high in the number of equity trades, at 70.9 million

Equities
The equity trading volume on the Spanish Stock Exchange in December came in at €80.6 billion, up 34% from the same month in 2013. In 2014 the trading volume totaled €883.7 billion, up 26% from a year earlier.
The number of trades in 2014 reached an annual record high, at 70.9 million, up 46% year on year. In December the number of trades was 5.9 million, up 39% from December 2013.
As for the ETF segment, the trading volume in 2014 totalled €9.8 billion, up 130% from 2013. In December the trading volume was €923 million, up 121% from the same month in 2013.
The total number of trades in ETFs in 2014 reached 115,146, up 76% from 2013. The number of trades in December totaled 12,453, up 112% from December 2013.
Activity on the warrants and certificates market during 2014 reached €819.4 million, up 9% from 2013. In December, the trading volume came in at €76.9 million, up 74% year on year.
The number of trades in 2014 in this market was 193,187, up 8% from a year earlier. In December the number of trades was 19,705, up 65% year on year. The number of warrants admitted to trading in 2014 was 8,310.
Futures and options
The trading volume for the year 2014 almost reached 54.7 million contracts, up 2.9% from 2013.
In December there was heavy trading again in Index Futures, with 600,373 IBEX 35 Futures and 294,593 IBEX Mini Futures contracts traded, up 30% and 78% respectively, year on year. During 2014 trading increased significantly in all products linked to the IBEX-35® index, with growth rates of 24% for IBEX Futures, 53% for Mini IBEX Futures and 42% for Options.
Trading in the Options on Stocks in December grew 10% from the same period in 2013 to 2,902,091 contracts, while the trading volume for the year 2014 totalled 25.6 million contracts.
In 2014 the trading volume in Futures on Stock Dividends came in at 236,151 contracts, up 254% from a year earlier. Open interest trading reached 49,335 contracts, up 82% year on year.
Corporate Debt
In 2014 the trading volume on the Corporate Debt market totaled €1.1 trillion, down 14.5% year on year, while trading to maturity grew 42.3%. In December trading reached €62.7 billion.
The trading volume on SEND in 2014 totalled €2.2 billion, down 18.7%, of which €275 million correspond to Public Debt trading, which grew 68.4% during the year.
Public Debt traded on SENAF, the wholesale electronic Public Debt platform, reached €109.5 billion in 2014, up 63.8% from 2013. In December trading reached €5.7 billion.
