OREANDA-NEWS. January 05, 2015. Moldovans who work or want to work in Russia will have to require to be issued a patent within 30 days after getting the confirmation on registration. The new rule enters into force starting from today, the Labour, Social Protection and Family Ministry has reported.

No such deadline has been previously. But, at present, migrants, violating this deadline, will be fined with up to 15,000 Russian roubles /over 4,000 Moldovan lei/.

At the same time, in order to obtain the patent or the work permit, the migrants, additionally to the travel documents and criminal record, will have to present the health insurance issued by the responsible institutions at the destination and certificate confirming the level of knowledge of the Russian language and passing of the test on level of knowledge of the legislation, culture and history of Russia.

The Moldovan will also have to observe the term of stay indicated in the stay permit or term of validity of the patent. Those who will not respect these rules will be fined, prohibited to entry Russia or expelled.   

The Labour Ministry also informs that there is no special bilateral understanding, confirmed by any official document as regards the facilitation to enter/stay on Russia’s territory by Moldovan citizens, as it has been previously transmitted.
