OREANDA-NEWS. The state-owned Belarusian company OAO Belaruskali says its export proceeds grew 26.3% year-on-year in January-October 2014 to USD 2.284 billion, a source in the profile ministry told.

Potash export proceeds grew as a result of growing sale volumes.

In January-October 2014 OAO Belaruskali exported 4.893 million tonnes of potash fertilizer (in terms of 100% potassium chloride), up 66.9% on the year.

The average price of Belarusian potash fertilizers sold on overseas markets in Jan-Oct 2014 stood at USD 466.89 per tonne to compare with USD 616.58 per tonne in Jan-Oct 2013.

As previously reported, Belaruskali exported around 3.437 million tonnes of potash fertilizer (in terms of 100% potassium chloride) in 2013 (3.668 million in 2012).

Belaruskali's export proceeds stood at USD 2.063 billion in 2013, USD 2.651 billion in 2012.

The state-owned Belarusian company OAO Belaruskali is one of the world's largest manufacturers of potash fertilizers, employing about 18,440 personnel. It operates the Starobinskoye potash salts deposit and comprises four mine groups, auxiliary shops and support units.

Belaruskali controls more than 16% of the world's potash fertilizer market.
