OREANDA-NEWS. Recently, the MT magazine under the banner of the well-known Chilean media La Tercera newspaper unveiled the shortlist for the "2015 Best Cars". Chery Tiggo 5 (Chile Called Grand TIGGO) has been nominated as "Best SUV in Chile". It also marks the first time that a Chinese SUV model has been honored into this ranking.

Initiated in 2007, Chile Best Cars ranking has been held once a year continuously. It is one of the most authoritative ranking activities in Chile's auto industry. 15 senior auto media journalists launch professional on-site tests and select the best cars, best SUVs and best MPVs. Such hottest models as Jeep Cherokee and Nissan Qashqai have also been ranked into the shortlist of Best SUVs. The final result will be unveiled on Jan. 5th, 2015. Professional referees and stringent standards have also reflected the importance of this ranking in the local auto industry.

It also marks the first time that a Chinese car brand has ranked into the Chilean Best Cars list. This nomination has well demonstrated Chery's reputation and appeal in overseas market. Tiggo 5 is Chery's latest SUV model, which had its debut in Chile this September. This SUV has adopted brand-new exterior and interior designs, and has been equipped with 2.0DVVT engine and five-speed manual transmission as well as such standard configurations as ABS+EBD, front dual air bags, and ISOFIX child safety seat interface. The high-end model also owns such humanized configurations as exterior mirror heating, eight-direction electric adjustment of the driver seat, and front seats heating.

As a highlighted model of Chery, Tiggo 5 has become a very popular SUV model just a few months after coming into the local market. What's more, it has been honored into the Best SUV nomination list this year. It will surely trigger a new spate of attention for Chery from the consumers.
