OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company and SOGAZ OJSC, who have won an open tender, are to provide insurance coverage for the period of in-orbit operation of Express-AM and Express-AT telecommunication satellites. The insurant was FSUE Space Communication.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company is the coordinator insurer, with 70% share in the total amount of liability, and SOGAZ is the coinsurer, with a share of 30% of the sum insured. The total sum insured under the contract is over RUB 21 bn.

The policies provide coverage for the period of in-orbit operation of spacecraft (SC) Express-AM3, Express-AM33, Express-AM44, Express-AM5, Express-AM6, Express-AT1, and Express-AT2. The policies cover the risk of total or partial loss of the spacecraft.

Express-AM and Express-AT spacecraft are provided insurance against the risks of partial and total loss during their operation in orbit until December 31, 2015.
