NIBULON Crosses Construction Equator of 121 Project Tugs
OREANDA-NEWS. Galvanized pipes of hull systems (drainage, ballast and fresh water cooling systems) are mounted actively on all three tugs.
The given shipbuilding progress, achieved recently, testifies that the construction equator has been crossed. It also symbolizes the beginning of the propulsion unit assembly and service system connection.
In addition, works at other shipbuilding areas are being continued actively.
The first vessel of the project (manufacturing order 10003):
The strength hull has been assembled; the outer plating has been tested for tightness; the underbody is being primed. The units No13 (superstructure forebody), No14 (forecastle deck) and No16 (tow knees) have been assembled into the vessel's hull; welding works are being carried out, and the unit No15 (bulwark and bitt bollards) will be installed. The unit No12 (superstructure midship with living units) is being assembled.
The second vessel of the project (manufacturing order 10004):
The strength hull has been assembled; the outer plating is being tested for tightness; preparatory woks to prime the underbody are being continued. The unit No.14 (forecastle deck) is being mounted, and the unit No.13 (superstructure forebody) is being prepared for installation on the vessel. In addition, mounting of the unit No.22 (pilot house) is at the final stage.
The third vessel of the project (manufacturing order 10005):
NIBULON's shipbuilders complete to assemble the strength hull; preparatory works are being carried out to test and prime the outer plating. The unit No.13 (superstructure forebody) has been installed on the vessel; installation work is being continued. Welding and assembly works to manufacture the unit No.14 (forecastle deck) are being continued.
