OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2014. The Information Technology Centre for the Ministry of Finance, which provides IT services to the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, is working in cooperation with banks to reorganise and improve customer security when they log in to the E-Tax Board/e-Customs.

From 10 a.m. on Tuesday until new authentication standards become effective, customers can only log in to the E-Tax Board using their ID card or Mobile ID. When logging in to the E-Tax Board through Internet bank, customers must re-authenticate themselves using their ID card or Mobile ID.

The Information Technology Centre for the Ministry of Finance expects that required updates to authentication by banks will be completed in January, enabling customers to once again start logging in to the E-Tax Board through Internet banks.

ETCB apologises for any inconvenience when using E-Tax Board services.

ETCB recommends that all users check to ensure their ID card PIN numbers are valid, so that they can temporarily be used for logging in to the E-Tax Board. ID card PIN numbers can be renewed at citizenship and migration offices of the Police and Border Guard Board and at branches of Swedbank and SEB Bank (http://www.id.ee/?lang=en&id=31027).
