OREANDA-NEWS. Traditionally, Ukrtelecom network faces peak loads during the New Year and Christmas holidays. Infrastructure of the Operator is built with a large safety margin, but the Company's technicians have taken additional measures to provide customers with quality and reliable communications.

In particular, there have been several additional circuits arranged in the most popular long-distance destinations - Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Poltava, Kharkiv, Odessa, and Lviv. This will help to easily withstand the expected increased load after activation of free long-distance telephony plans.

Besides that, Ukrtelecom has taken care of Internet and interactive TV users. Capacity of the backbone network of the Operator will allow customers to use the services with standard speeds. In particular, the total capacity of the core of IP/MPLS network between regional and central nodes in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk is 760 Gbps. The capacity of international connections of the Company is 150 Gbps, and 572 Gbps is the total capacity of interconnection.
