OREANDA-NEWS. The Government of the Irkutsk Region and OJSC EuroSibEnergo signed an Agreement on Social and Economic Cooperation. The document specifies key social and charitable projects to be supported by EuroSibEnergo Group in the Irkutsk Region. The Group will continue to assist in the implementation of educational projects of Irkutsk State Technical University, Bratsk State University and Irkutsk Power Engineering College approved by the Government of the Irkutsk Region, to support the Baikal-Energiya hockey team, to assist in construction of a nursery school in Irkutsk. In 2015, the company will allocate over RUB 400 mln for these purposes. In addition, the agreement stipulates an ongoing dialogue with government agencies on the use of natural resources, the budget policy and the environment. It also involves pursuing a coordinated policy on reforming of the energy, housing and utilities sectors in the Irkutsk Region, developing integrated programs to develop electricity grids and heating networks in the Angara Region.

EuroSibEnergo Group operates in the Irkutsk Region via its largest companies, such as OJSC Irkutskenergo and LLC Vostsibugol and their subsidiaries.
