OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2014. POSCO hosted the `IP (Innovation POSCO) Festival 2014` on December 4th, with the event providing a forum in which it could share the outcomes and best practice from POSCO Total Innovation Methodology (POSTIM).

This event was held at the main conference room in the Pohang headquarters around a theme of `differentiation toward greatness`, with a direct simultaneous video steam linking Gwangyang-Seoul-Songdo.

This event saw 1,000 executives and members of the POSCO Family participate, including POSCO as well as Group companies and outsourcing partners, with attendees sharing the outcomes and best practices from POSTIM.

POSTIM is an innovative model developed by POSCO and applied in August last year to achieve the corporate vision of `POSCO the Great`.

At the event, participants looked back on the efforts and traces of POSCO Family to implement `POSCO the Great`, and shared the progress results and best practice from POSTIM, which spans PWS (PJT-based Working System), QSS+ (Quick Six Sigma plus), and SWP (Smart Work Place). In addition, through the `Contest for an Excellent Project Idea`, they shared creative ideas from the shop-floor that can contribute to improving profitability, with a special awards ceremony to recognize the most promising ideas.

President Kwon Oh-joon spurred on staff with his message, ``We will make the vision of POSCO Family come true using the POSTIM as a measure to recreate the greatness of POSCO. I ask that all executives and members actively participate in our innovative activities in order to achieve `POSCO the Great`.``

Meanwhile, attendees particularly enjoyed the performances held in between each session and prepared by members of POSCO Family, as well as other performances to attract participation.
