OREANDA-NEWS. “Social Solidarity Award”, which was given for the first time in Albania, was awarded to Ahmet Calik, Chairman of the Board of Calik Holding, by Albania's Ministry of Social Welfare and Youth. The award was given for the social responsibility projects about especially the abandoned and orphaned children and about the protection of the environment by BKT, which is the largest bank of Albania, and ALBtelecom, which is the largest telecommunication operator of the country, the companies of Calik Group operating in Albania.

During the award ceremony, Albania's Minister for Social Welfare and Youth, Erion Veliaj thanked Ahmet Calik saying that those social responsibility projects should set an example to everybody. Stating that he received the award on behalf of the employees of BKT and ALBtelecom, Ahmet Calik said, “In Albania, we will continue to support the society and the children, the future of this country”.

“2014 Social Solidarity Award” was awarded to Ahmet Calik, Chairman of the Board of Calik Holding, by Albania's Ministry of Social Welfare and Youth for the successful social responsibility projects performed by the companies affiliated to the Calik Holding. The award was given to Ahmet Calik by Erion Veliaj, Albania's Minister for Social Welfare and Youth, during the ceremony organized in Zyber Hallulli Orphanage in Tiran, the capital of Albania.

The managers of BKT and ALBtelecom companies of the Calik Holding operating in that country as well as the Ambassador to Albania, Hidayet Bayraktar, the directors of different Turkish agents in Albania and the representatives of The Ministry of Social Welfare and Youth attended the award ceremony. The Social Solidarity Award given to Ahmet Calik, which is aimed to be traditionalized by The Ministry of Social Welfare and Youth, is the first award in this field in Albania. During his speech at the ceremony, Albania's Minister for Social Welfare and Youth, Erion Veliaj thanked Ahmet Calik saying that those contributions of the companies of Calik Holding operating in Albania to the social life in that country should set an example for everybody.
