MCC Group Wins Two China Patent Prizes
OREANDA-NEWS. December 24, 2014. The 16th China Patent Prize was announced a couple of days ago. MCC Group won two prizes, namely: (i) Regeneration Process of Waste Hydrochloric Acid through Spray-roasting Method, which was recommended by MCC Group and jointly developed by Zhao Jinbiao, Qin Jian and Wang Liqun of WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd. (WISDRI); and (ii) Test Mold for Shrinkage Cracking of Concrete, which was recommended by China Association of Patent Protection and jointly developed by Cao Qingyu, Hao Tingyu and Xiao Jun of MCC Group Central Research Institute of Building & Construction (CRIBC) and Beijing Central Research & Design Institute for Metallurgical Equipment of MCC (BRIME).
Adhering to the principle of Quality First, the Scientific Technology Department of MCC Group started the overall implementation of patent development strategy in 2014.
Under the guidance by the Scientific Technology Department, the relevant subsidiaries have improved the patent management method, redoubled efforts on patent layout and operational management, enhanced the patent quality, and made full utilization of the patent’s economic value. As a result, MCC Group witnessed a relatively rapid growth in terms of the amounts of patent applying, patent granted and accumulated effective patent in 2014.
According to the patent list of the central enterprises which were launched by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) in July, the rank of MCC Group jumped up to No. 4 in terms of the accumulated effective patent amount among all the central enterprises. As a matter of fact, MCC Group ranks only second to State Grid Corporation of China, PetroChina and Sinopec, and maintains the top rank among the central enterprises engaged in construction and metallurgical industry. These prizes symbolize that, MCC Group progresses well in execution of its patent development strategy, and achieves outstanding enhancement on patent quality.
With regard to the inventors/designers who win China Patent Prize, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) requested their employers to record their prizes in the files, which shall be taken as the important basis for their performance assessment, promotion and employment position. In addition, the employers shall also grant awards to these winners.
