Chamber of Commerce of Moldova Approves Strategy for 2015-2017
OREANDA-NEWS. December 24, 2014. As it is noted in the CCI, the document shall provide medium-term priorities and the number of necessary institutional reforms, aimed at the practical realization of the expectations of economic agents; ensuring implementation of the objectives outlined in the state economic policy and internal decisions of the CCI of Moldova.
The program includes 7 main priorities: improving the competitiveness of the private sector; "smart" business regulation; access to financing; promoting the internationalization of companies; innovation and technology transfer; promoting regional economic development; powers for the competitiveness. The document was developed due to the necessity to modernize and synchronize tools functioning of the CCI in the context of changes in the quality of products in national politics and the economy after the entry into force of the Association Agreement between the EU and Moldova, including the DCFTA.
The head of CCI Valeriu Lazar said that the program is aimed at ensuring the role of the Chamber of Commerce as the leading partner and the Trustee in the implementation of the DCFTA. He noted the contribution of CCI in the process of developing and promoting the country's economic policy at the Central and local levels, as well as in support of the private sector through consultancy and assistance in the process of conquering new markets and opening new opportunities for cooperation and internationalization. In addition, the role of CCI is to actively participate in effective programs for assistance and business support.
To achieve the goals of the CCI intends to develop traditional activities and services and regional centers; to strengthen the capacity of the branches of CCI in the context of implementation of the Local business agenda (ALB); to develop a system for informing the economic agents and their promotion at the national and international levels.
To support activities in the development of the CCI in the budget of the institution created the development Fund in the amount of 10% of the annual income of the office. In 2014, according to the Strategic development program, CCI budget amounted to approximately 32.3 million lei. 25,2 million lei of which (78% of total revenue) is revenue from the paid services, income from conducting examinations and evaluation of goods amounted to 26.0%, services of the customs brokers - 18,1%, exhibitions - 8.0%, educational services - 5.6%.
