Belarus' Farm Output Increases 2.3% yr in Jan-Nov 2014 to Br124tn
OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' farm output increased 2.3% on the year in January-November 2014 to 124 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 11.407 billion at the official exchange rate), a source in the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) told.
Sales of fattened cattle and poultry grew 3.1% on the year in January-November 2014 to 1.321 million tonnes, milk output grew 1.5% to 5.739 million tonnes, and egg output went up 2.7% to 2.601 billion units.
The share of loss-making agricultural companies in January-October 2014 accounted for 7% of the total number to compare with 3.1% in Jan-Oct 2013.
The value of overdue accounts payable in the agricultural sector stood at Br10.289 trillion (USD 946.587 million) as of November 1, 2014, which accounts for 22.18% of the total value of accounts payable in the country.
Accounts payable overdue grew 0.9% month on month as of November 1, 2014, up 33.5% year on year.
