CROC's Project Wins Special Prize at ProIntegration Awards 2014
OREANDA-NEWS. The situation center deployed by CROC for Central Suburban Passenger Company has been awarded a special prize in the Best Enterprise Solution category. The ProIntegration Awards honors key solutions for the integration of professional audio and video equipment.
"For the second year in a row, our projects have been recognized at the ProIntegration Awards. This year, the jury awarded our situation center for its relevance, social importance, and contribution to transportation safety and service quality. This pilot project covered nine Kazansky line stations on the Moscow railway and Kazansky railway station and will expand to embrace the entire Moscow Railway Hub within the next three years. Today, it is one of the most advanced situation centers in the Russian transportation industry," noted Alexey Volkov, Head of AV Systems, CROC.
The Situation and Analytical Center, developed and installed by CROC specialists, is a state-of-the-art hardware and software solution comprising information monitors, public address equipment, 'passenger-dispatcher' intercom terminals, video surveillance and analytical tools, as well as business process enabling software. The entire network infrastructure is monitored and managed from a single dispatch control room in the headquarters of Central Suburban Passenger Company.
"The video analytics system automatically records turnstile violation attempts by counting passengers without tickets, monitors passenger crowding at ticket offices, and controls queues. The powerful analytics system in our situation center identifies interdependences between various events, analyzes service quality, highlights any non-compliance with operational parameters, and also helps prevent failures," said Andrey Garanichev, Adviser to Director General, Central Suburban Passenger Company.
