Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Sarbananda Sonowal has said that the focus of Narendra Modi Government is on encouraging skill development and entrepreneurship among youth so that they can make positive contribution in making India a global power. Launching a Web Portal on reform activities here today he said, the NDA government at the Centre has recently launched digital India - A programme to transform India into digital empowered society and knowledge economy and any effort by any individual in that direction is worth praising.

He said such technological ventures are effective tools for e-governance and would create a long term impact on the people particularly those who hail from the remote and far-flung areas to come into the mainstream and participate in the developmental activities of the country.
