Further, the introduction of semi high speed trains at 160/200 kmph on the identified corridors has been announced in the Rail Budget 2014-15. The corridors identified for introduction of semi high speed train are Delhi-Agra, Delhi-Chandigarh, Delhi-Kanpur, Nagpur-Bilaspur, Mysore-Bengaluru-Chennai, Mumbai-Goa, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Chennai-Hyderabad and Nagpur-Secunderabad. All technical inputs required for running of commercial service at 160 kmph on New Delhi-Agra corridor have been given and the corridor is ready for introduction of such service. The feasibility study of speed raising on Chennai-Bangalore-Mysore corridor is being taken up under co-operation agreement with China.
