OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2014. JSC United Transport & Logistics Company (UTLC), the Rais Hassan Saadi Group and Cargo & Logistics Dubai Airports signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in Dubai.

The three sides discussed the development of logistics and the organisation of supply chain management along the North-South International Transport Corridor (ITC): the Gulf States (with transshipment through the ports of Jebel Ali, UAE, Bandar Abbas, Iran) – Caspian Sea (Astrakhan) –Moscow, as well as to the countries of Central Asia, especially to destinations such as Astana, Almaty, Tashkent, Bishkek and other cities.

The Memorandum will facilitate the quality and efficient logistics of intermodal transport from Russia and the CIS countries to the Gulf countries (UAE, Iran) and India.

In addition, it will ensure the quality and efficiency of multimodal transport logistics for customers and joint participation in projects of industrial companies and financial and investment institutions between the Russian Federation, the United Arab Emirates, Iran and India.

In addition, UTLC is considering the creations of a sea + air freight link in conjunction with Dubai Cargo Village/Dubai International Airport Cargo Gateway in both the United Arab Emirates and the Russian Federation.

UTLC, RHS and Cargo & Logistics expressed their readiness to exchange their experience in the effective use of modern IT-systems that allow customers and experts at their companies to monitor and manage the supply chain in real-time when using multimodal transport, to improve the work of all departments, optimise logistics processes and to increase the quality of customer service.

Signing the agreement was made possible with the assistance of the Logistics Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
