OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2014. The Center for Research and Development (CRD) of the CBA held a seminar dedicated to the Basel III standards for commercial bank employees within the Exchange of Knowledge project.

The goal of the seminar was to inform banks’ risk management staff on the theoretical and practical basis of Basel III improvements.

Employees of the CRD and the Banking Supervision Department interactively detailed the participants on the necessity for the Basel III, its capital ingredients, capital adequacy requirements, capital buffers, and liquidity requirements.

The participants were also informed on the progress of Basel III introduction in Azerbaijan, followed by the G&A session and the certification ceremony.

To note, the Resources and Education Service of the CRD of the CBA is conducting a number of events for various stakeholders within the Exchange of Knowledge project in harmony with the 2011-2014 Strategic Plan.
