OREANDA-NEWS. The Kursk NPP fulfilled annual target for power generation, set by the "Rosenergoatom Concern" on December 15 at 20:02 MSK.

It was transferred 27 billion 594 million KWh of electricity into the grid. State task (annual plan of the Federal Tariff Service - FTS) was carried out in early November.

This results were obtained thanks to the stable operation of power units, which was provided by high-quality performance of repair campaign in 2014 in the shortest possible time, in compliance with all safety standards and rules. The Kursk NPP successfully executed technical program for improvement of energy efficiency.

The Kursk NPP personnel is trying to achieve another goal now - to reach a new historical maximum of annual power generation until the end of the year, ensuring safe and reliable operation of power units.

There are all four power units in work at the moment. They are operating at the capacity, established by a dispatch schedule.

The radiation background is at level, that corresponds to the normal operation of power units and does not exceed natural background values, at the Kursk NPP and in the area of its location.
