OREANDA-NEWS. The installers from the Ltd. "VDMU" and experts of NPP operational services made one of the most important stages - installing the turbine on shaft turning - on December 16 at 4:00 at the launch power unit №3 of the Rostov NPP.

Statement of the turbine at the shat turning demonstrates the willingness of the second circuit equipment for power generation.

The main aim of this technological operation was to check the alignment of the turbine flow, axial alignment and centering shaft of the turbine generator, matching its performance with design requirements.

The works were carried out to ensure the readiness of mechanical parts, electrical equipment, all support systems, including oil systems of turbine generator, during the preparations for this operation.

The willingness of mechanical turbine generator, electrical equipment and support systems was reached before the beginning of this stage.

The Rostovskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The nuclear station is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. There are two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with an installed capacity of 1000 MWt operating at the nuclear station. The power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, the power unit No. 2 - in December, 2010.
