OREANDA-NEWS. The Rostov NPP fulfilled its annual electricity production plan, approved by the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom", in the amount of 14 billion 965 million KWh of electricity on December 17, 2014 at 06:37, it is the top key performance indicator for power generation for the Rostov NPP.

The Rostov NPP fulfilled an electricity production plan in the amount of 14 billion 520 million KWh, approved in 2014 by the Federal Tariff Service, every earlier on December 8, 2014.

In 2014, the Rostov NPP ensured safe and cost-effective electricity production with the absence of negative impacts on the environment and population, conducted a qualitative repair campaign in 11 days, that gave more than 275 million kWh of electricity as the above-generation production of electricity and launched the power unit №3.

The nuclear power plant has generated more than 142 billion KWh of electricity since the start-up of the first power unit in 2001.

The Rostov NPP is working above the plan for electricity production at the moment.

The Federal Tariff Service approved electricity production plan for the Rostov NPP in 2015 in the amount of 18 billion 69 million 840 thousand KWh of electricity.

The Rostov nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The nuclear station is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. There are two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with an installed capacity of 1000 MWt operating at the nuclear station. The power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, the power unit No. 2 - in December, 2010.
