OREANDA-NEWS.The Concept Paper on developing 100 Smart Cities is presently at draft stage, which is available on the Ministry of Urban Development’s website (www.indiansmartcities.in) . Consultations with State Governments are being held by Ministry of Urban Development. The Guidelines for selection of cities shall be finalized after approval of the scheme. A combined allocation of Rs. 2.00 crore for New Mission, including development of Smart Cities, along with an allocation of Rs. 6273.77 crore for Mission for development of 100 Smart Cities and JnNURM has been made by the Government in the current financial year.

This was stated by Shri Jayant Sinha, Minister of State in Ministry of Finance in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.
