OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2014. Deputy Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Vladimir Didilica met the representative of the German Economic Team in Moldova (GET), Jorg Radeke.

The officials agreed to start cooperation, in order to identify problems in the Moldovan business environment and present necessary recommendations after carrying out an analysis, the CCI press service has reported.

Vladimir Didilica highlighted the importance that the German side backs business environment, in the context of the geopolitical and economic changes in the region. „The signing of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement and opening of the European Union’s markets for Moldovan products represent a friendly regime for Moldova’s economy; yet, there is a deficit of available information for the local producers and they are not enough prepared to export to Western Europe."

At the same time, Didilica underlined the significance of a comprehensive study on the real situation of Moldovan producers, to clear up problems they faced, as well as theirs needs, in order to meet EU’s requirements.

For his part, Jorg Radeke voiced the German Economic Team’s openness and support, in order to back and stabilise Moldova’s economic development. The official encouraged the idea of a full analysis of the business environment, in order to find out how the forces and necessary resources could be directed, to get prepared for exporting to EU. Such a study will also be useful for donors, and will represent a recommendation both for the public and private sectors.

Since 2010, GET has been supporting the Moldovan government in the economic development sector and shaping the necessary processes for economic reforms.
