OREANDA-NEWS. The RUB 2.5 billion (including VAT) project is commissioned by the Moscow Region General Directorate of Road Management. Scheduled completion: 27 months from the date of the contract.

The overpass over a railway line will be built in the area of the existing Vodniki Station (Savelovsky Branch of the Moscow Railway). As part of the contract, Mostotrest will also build a set of split-level traffic interchanges. The total construction length of the project is estimated at 1.55 km. Post-completion design speed: 80 km/h.

The new interchanges will link the main transport arteries of the town of Dolgoprudny (Likhachevsky Avenue, Likhachevsky Alley and Dirizhabelnaya Street). In addition, the new overpass will relieve Parkovaya Street, as transportation within the area split by the railway is currently ensured through a railroad crossing in the alignment of Parkovaya and Moskovskaya streets. As the above streets have reached their maximum throughput capacity, waiting time for vehicles at the railroad crossing currently exceeds 30 minutes.

During construction, the existing railroad crossing will remain in operation and provide access to Moskovskaya Street.
