The III-rd annual competition of cluster creative projects, implemented by the Centre for Development of Children and Youth in conjunction with the Department of Information and Public Relations of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom" branch "Directorate for Construction of Baltic NPP" results were summed up on December 12 in Sovietsk,

Within a month, students of secondary schools and post-secondary educational institutions constructed models of nuclear power plants, created objects of arts and crafts, painted, sculptured, embroidered pictures, shoot video, drew cartoons, prepared presentations, wrote essays, poetries and prose. The works theme is consonant with the name of the project: "Nuclear energy is our friend". In total, the jury of the competition featured more than 200 authorship works.

Teachers from the Centre for Development of Children and Youth and representatives of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom" branch "Directorate for Construction of Baltic NPP" were to choose the best of the best.

"This year we have works, that are worthy not only this exhibition, but also in the central office of the "Rosenergoatom Concern". We have a robot-machine, that shows how to load nuclear fuel into the reactor core, and nuclear icebreaker, plowing expanses of the ocean, and models of the NPPs. Children have made every effort, so it is impossible not to mention someone, "- says the head of the training division of the Directorate of Constructed Baltic Nuclear Power Plant Eugene Suhonosenko.

Creative project "Nuclear energy is our friend" is becoming more popular from year to year. The number of participants is growing, so the geography of the project does - they have covered almost the entire north-east of the Kaliningrad region by this moment. The subject of nuclear energy is being learnt through creativity by children from Slavskoiy, Krasnoznamenskiy, Neman and Sovetsk areas.

"This year there was a real breakthrough in the "Report" nomination. The children didn't stop on to the principles of the nuclear facilities or a comparative analysis of different types of energy, which is also a very important topic. The interesting facts about the history of nuclear power were tabled in, much attention has been paid to people, who had made the greatest contribution to the development of domestic nuclear energy, researches about biological resources in the area of construction of nuclear power plants were carried out. The level of works quality is increasing from year to year", - said the Head of Information and Public Relations Directorate of Constructed Baltic Nuclear Power Plant Inna Moreva.

The winners have traditionally been awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts from the Atomic Scientists. At the end of the project the best works of the contest participants will be published.
