OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2014. Center-invest Bank was a partner and sponsor for the Southern Russia Social Investment competition held by the regional business magazine Ekspert-Yug.

The competition winners were announced on 5th December 2014. Center-invest Bank received a special certificate for its “systematic and wide-ranging investment in projects to engage young people in science, academia and enterprise”.

The competition judges and entrants held a conference at which they discussed the social engagement of businesses and non-commercial organisations, and the future of social investment in southern Russia.

“Center-invest Bank has always been at the forefront of social investment,” said Chairman of Center-invest Bank’s Board of Directors, Dr Vasily Vysokov. “We hope that this competition will show that social enterprise and corporate social responsibility are not the same as charity.”

The entries were judged by leading experts in philanthropy, social initiatives and the economy, including Tatiana Vysokova, member of Center-invest Bank’s Board of Directors. On 10th June 2014 Mrs Vysokova received an award for charity and philanthropy from Governor of the Rostov Region, Vasily Golubev.

Center-invest Bank is an example of a socially responsible business. The bank’s social and educational projects encompass all the groups involved in education and academia: teachers, students, schoolchildren and recent graduates.
