The Minister of State (IC) for Labour and Employment, Shri Bandaru Dattatreya has said that the Government is implementing the National Career Service (NCS) Project for linking employment exchanges and other institutions using technology to provide a variety of employment related services like career counselling, vocational guidance, information on skill development courses, apprenticeship, internships. The NCS would be supported by Call Centre/Helpdesk and the services will be accessible through a variety of delivery channels including employment exchanges. The Project comprises development of a National Portal to facilitate registration of candidates, notification of vacancies, career counseling and other employment related assistance. The Project has been approved for an outlay of Rs. 292.20 crore for the duration of 12th Five Year Plan.
