OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2014. Recently, the structural steel of Hanyang Ironwork of WISCO entered the Burma market for the first time.

Hanyang Ironwork undertook a steel plate bridge project of the Hubei No.1 Heavy Industry Emergency Equipment Company in Burma. The project is 1400 tonnes of gross tonnage, 300 meters of length, 6.8 meters of width and 2-4.7 meters of height. The main structure of the bridge is box girder, and each section of the box girder is connected by steel plates with holes and high strength bolts.

The construction period of the project is 40 days. The project was a great challenge to Hanyang Ironwork, because the schedule was tight and there were a lot of work to do, especially the holes to be drilled were as as many as 180,000, and at the same time, part of the materials supplied by the owner were rusted seriously and this increased the pretreatment greatly.

The project is the first foreign structural steel project of Hanyang Ironwork, and the success not only shows the foreign acceptance to its product, but also takes its first step to develop the overseas market, strengthen its competitiveness, and improve its popularity.
