Agroleasing Becomes Member of Belarusian Association of Lessors
OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2014. Established in 2011 as a nongovernmetal non-profit organization, the Association of Lessors is composed predominantly of Belarusian organizations performing leasing activity (leasing companies).
The main objectives and tasks of the Association are to represent and protect the rights and legitimate interests of its members, coordinate their activity and promote the development of the leasing market.
At present, the Association has more than 20 members including the largest Belarusian lessors, as well as subsidiary companies of the banks.
After JSC Agroleasing’s joining the Association, it can be stated that its members are now lessors controlling 90 % of the Belarusian leasing market.
The membership in the Association allows its members in a civilized and consolidated way in cooperation with other lessors and the regulator (the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus) to broaden the scope of leasing application and promote leasing to new clients, thereby increasing the market capacity and creating new development opportunities for its participants, including JSC Agroleasing.
Andrey Hilman, the director of JSC Agroleasing, spoke of the additional benefits to clients: “We expect that our membership in the Association, through the exchange of experience and closer cooperation with the partners, will lead to the development of new product and services offerings to clients”.
The Association also arranges educational and training activity which enables lessees to increase their knowledge of leasing, leasing possibilities, peculiarities and advantages. These events are held regularly as part of the countrywide financial awareness enhancement program.
In our opinion, taking into consideration the corporate policies for the members of the Association, the membership in the Association must eventually become evidence of a unique mark of quality and a proof of professionalism of the lessor.
