OREANDA-NEWS. The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has congratulated winners of the National Energy Conservation Awards 2014.

In a message, the President has said, “I am happy to learn that the Ministry of Power is organizing the Energy Conservation Awards Day on December 14, 2014.

Energy is a vital input for the sustainable economic development of our country. Energy efficiency and its conservation is one of the most cost effective measures to bridge the gap between demand and supply, and to mitigate the environmental impacts of rapid development.

I appreciate the efforts of Ministry of Power to promote and mainstream energy conservation. I also congratulate all the winners of this year’s National Energy Conservation Awards, who have set benchmarks of excellence for other industries to emulate. I wish the Awards function all success.”
