OREANDA-NEWS. Production of cars, light commercial vehicles and trucks in Russia in 2014 may be reduced collectively by 8%. It was announced by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Andrei Dutov, adding that car sales could fall by about 10%.

According to the Deputy Minister, these indicators are normal for 2014, writes "RBK". Final data will help to determine further measures to support the automotive industry, he added.

According to Rosstat, for ten months of 2014 the Russian assembly produced 1.4 million cars - it is less by 8.2% than a year before. Production of trucks for the same period fell by 24.2% to 127,000 units. Production of buses was 34.1 thousand vehicles, which is less by 20.7% than in January-October of the last year.
