Ida-Viru County Hopes to Create 4,400 New Jobs in 5 Years
OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2014. Industrial parks in four Ida-Viru County towns are hoping to create over 4,000 jobs in the next five years, with a few companies having already moved in.
Teet Kuusmik, a board member of the Ida-Viru Industrial Areas Development Foundation, said the park in Narva has already seen completion of two large logistics centers, with one plant set to open this month. Two more are in the construction phase.
Progress in the towns has been slower, but the Foundation, which is cooperating with Enterprise Estonia, is hoping to achieve the goal of 4,400 new jobs in the region by 2019.
The jobs will be spread out between Narva, Johvi, Kivioli and Kohtla-Jarve.
